Spyware Habits to be uninstalled

Aornum's spyware is an Internet Explorer Browser Helper Object that is also run as a Windows task. The Adware can open pop-up ads when browsing the Web using Internet Explorer.

The spyware files on the system will be able to be detected as Adware under the file name(s) Aornum.

The spyware could be installed by software from the iwon.com Web site.

File names: Aornum.exe; Aornidle.dll; Aornumax.dll

Adware 'Aornum' is an Internet Explorer Browser Helper Object that runs as a Windows task.

When the Spyware executes, the installer performs the following

Installs several files into the Windir folder.

Starts a running process (usually Aornum) that can make calls to various servers to update the adware's code.

Creates the Windir\Program Files\Ornum folder.

Creates the following registry keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\
Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\Aornum

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Aornum

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TENsoft

Uninstalling the Spyware keys from the Registry

On the taskbar, click Start > Run. (The Run dialog box appears.)

In the Run dialog box, type regedit

Click OK.

In the Registry Editor, navigate to and delete the following keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft
\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\Aornum

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Aornum

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TENsoft

Exit the Registry Editor.

Restart the computer.

Scanning for and Uninstalling the Spyware files

Make sure to run a full system scan with Anti-Spyware to identify that this security risk no longer resides on your system.

Run a full system spyware scan.

If any files are detected as spyware infected with the Adware Aornum, click Delete.

Using Windows Explorer, delete the Windir\Program Files\Ornum folder as well.
